Shasha Tobacco (Pvt) Ltd was established in 2007 after being approved to operate a Tobacco Contract Growing Scheme by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Tobacco Industry & Marketing Board.
From humble beginnings of contracting 200 growers producing 400,000kg of sustainably grown tobacco in its first season of operation, Shasha has in the last three seasons contracted an average of 4,000 growers producing 7 to 8 million kgs of green tobacco from approximately 4,000 ha which was sold on the local market.
In the quest to explore and implement value addition, Shasha Tobacco has been involved in the buying, processing and exporting of Flue-Cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco since 2019. In the 2023 season the Company bought and processed 1,500,000 kg of green tobacco which was successfully sold on the local and export markets. We supply a variety of FCV tobacco products including tipped & threshed blends (strips), long and short stem, fines, cut-rag and others.
