WT Middle East increases attendance by 43% in 2019
WT Middle East has reported that attendee numbers for the 2019 exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates exceed 5,200 with a 43% increase in attendees when compared to the 2017 show hosted at the same venue.
There were 101 countries represented at the event with visitors travelling from countries such as Japan, Myanmar, Argentina, Malaysia, South Korea and Paraguay. The exhibition had over 200 exhibitors showcasing their latest products from a range of international companies including GD Spa, Sopirawala Exports, Dare Global, Alliance One and Real Tobacco
Alongside the international exhibition was a free-to-attend conference organised in partnership with the ELTI – European Leaf Tobacco Interbranch. This new feature to the show floor focused on innovation and sustainability within the tobacco industry. Speakers who participated included Miguel Coleta, Philip Morris International who focused on PMI’s Sustainability Strategy, Dr Marina Foltea, Trade Pacts who discussed the international legal framework applicable to Innovation and tobacco and Domenico Cardinali, Deltafina - ULT Group who spoke about the world first Sustainability Report according to the Global Reporting Initiative Standards.
