U.S. Tobacco Cooperative Inc. (USTC) is a grower-owned agricultural cooperative headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. The cooperative is owned by 500+ U.S. flue-cured tobacco growers in 5 Southeastern states. Member grown tobacco is purchased, processed and sold globally. USTC also produces consumer products for the U.S. market under brand names of 1839, 1st Class, Ace, Shield, Traffic, Ultra Buy and Wildhorse. Brands such as Timberlake, Grayson’s, Arc, Arena, Southfield in addition to Wildhorse and Ultra Buy are sold internationally.
USTC has five wholly owned subsidiaries; U.S. Flue Cured Tobacco Growers, Inc. (Timberlake, NC), a manufacturing company; Premier Manufacturing (St. Louis, MO), a consumer products sales and marketing company; and two distribution companies Big South Distribution (Bristol, VA, Fort Valley, GA and Suwanee, GA) and Franchise Wholesale d/b/a Wildhorse Distributing (Omaha, NE and Las Vegas, NV) and King Maker Marketing (Raleigh, NC).
